Victorian Era

"The Downtown Social Club" - is a program revolving around the life of Victorian-Edwardian era women in most Western cities of size.  The social clubs represented the life of a specific strata of women, most in the middle and upper classes, but occasionally served as entry points for women on the rise in the elastic West.   The clubs were social, literary, civic, religious, and enlightening opportunies.
